Overview
Magna's Market ("we", "us") operates the website at magnasmarket.com, including the Pokémon TCG Top 15 Prices tool. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
1. Data We Collect Directly
We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to use the free version of our tools. The following data is stored locally in your browser:
- Offline cache — Card price data and set lists are stored in your browser's IndexedDB and Cache Storage so the tool works without an internet connection. This data never leaves your device.
- Premium status — If you upgrade to Premium, your Premium status is stored locally in your browser. We do not use cookies for account tracking.
2. Third-Party Data Sources
Our card price data is fetched live from TCGdex, a third-party API. When you load or refresh prices, your browser makes requests directly to TCGdex servers. TCGdex may collect technical data (IP address, request timing) as part of providing their API service. We do not control TCGdex's data practices — please review their privacy policy if you have concerns.
3. Affiliate Links
Magna's Market may include affiliate links to third-party marketplaces such as TCGplayer. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These links use tracking parameters set by the affiliate network (Impact) to attribute the referral. We do not collect or store your purchase data — all transaction information is handled by the third-party marketplace.
4. Premium Tier
Premium members receive access to premium features including offline set caching and the monthly newsletter. Premium status is managed through your Magna's Market account.
5. Analytics
We may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand site traffic and improve our tools. Analytics data is aggregated and anonymous — we do not track individual users by name or email.
6. Card Images
Card images are loaded from TCGdex's image servers (assets.tcgdex.net). When you view a card, your browser requests the image directly from TCGdex. The Service Worker caches these images locally for offline use.
7. Data Retention
- Local cache — Stored until you clear your browser data or use the "Clear All Cached Data" button in the tool.
- Ad network data — Governed by the respective ad network's retention policy.
- Analytics data — Retained according to our analytics provider's default retention period.
8. Your Choices
- Use the Premium tier to remove all ads and prevent ad-network cookie loading.
- Clear your browser data to remove all locally cached information.
- Configure your browser to block third-party cookies (note: this may affect some site functionality).
- Use your browser's "Do Not Track" or privacy settings.
9. Children's Privacy
Our tools are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
