We needed fast, reliable price checking and set tracking at card shows — so we built them ourselves. Now they're free for every collector and vendor to use.

Our Story

Filling Our Own Needs

Running a vendor table at TCG events means making lots of decisions: Is this card worth buying? What's it actually selling for right now? Which cards in this set actually matter?

Everyone checks the prices. Except when they can't. Many shows have substandard internet and cellular service. This prevents vendors from being able to check prices on websites and phone apps. If vendors can't check prices it isn't fair for sellers or buyers.

We were tired of guessing, or abandoning our table to run to the lobby and back to check prices for every sale. When apps and websites do work they are often cluttered with ads which also delays the price check and sales.

So we built our own tools. The first tool was a live Top 25 price checker for each set that pulls realtime data from TCGdex and Scryfall when there's internet. The tool can pre-cache price data ahead of time, so everything works even when the WiFi doesn't. Pre-cached data has a time code to show when the price was downloaded.

The second tool was a stock tracker that allows for quick stock entry to reduce time logging what we had at the event. This made "Do you have this card?" easier to answer.

We are also collectors. We love to build master sets. Tool number 3 was a master set checklist that includes card images for every card and card variety in the set. If there is a holofoil and pokeball foil, there will be two lines in the list. Print the export, and it becomes your hunt sheet at the next show.

  2. Where does the price data come from? Pokémon TCG prices are sourced from TCGdex, which aggregates data from TCGPlayer and Cardmarket. MTG prices come from Scryfall, which uses TCGPlayer market pricing. Both APIs are free and open-source.
  3. Do the tools work offline? The price tracker tools pre-cache set data in your browser ahead of time. If you lose internet at a card show, the last-loaded prices remain visible — with a time code showing when the price was downloaded.   4. How accurate are the prices? Prices reflect recent marketplace sales data, not estimates. However, card condition, grading potential, and local market conditions all affect actual sale prices. Use these prices as a starting point for your own research. We recommend cross-referencing with TCGPlayer sold listings and eBay completed auctions for high-value cards.
